What does "waive" mean?

Waive means that you are choosing not to enroll in a particular benefit during your enrollment period.

What happens when you waive a benefit?

  • You will not have coverage for that benefit for the plan year.
  • If you waive coverage, you may have to wait until the next open enrollment period or experience a qualifying life event (e.g., marriage, birth of a child, loss of other coverage) to enroll.
  • Some employers may require you to actively waive coverage by selecting "waive" during enrollment.

How to verify waived benefits

  • Log into MyEnroll360 at MyEnroll.com
  • Check your Enrollment Statement to confirm any benefits you have waived
