Your COBRA package will be sent to you after the employer notifies Cobra Control Services (CCS) of your qualifying event (such as termination of employment or reduction in hours).
Timing for receiving your COBRA package
- Employers are required to notify CCS within 30 days of your qualifying event.
- After CCS receives the notification, they will send your COBRA package to you within 14 days.
What to do if you donât receive your package
If you have not received your COBRA package within 45 days of your qualifying event:
- Contact the employer to confirm they submitted the notification to CCS.
- Contact CCS to request an update:
